This site invites you to engage with the different French translations of The Monk. Word frequencies from various passages of the texts will be featured on the site. This site includes an image imbedded map of the translations, and background information on the project. The goal of this project is to allow you to explore ideas around translation, and the ways that female bodies and spaces transform in the French translations.
